In Japanese, Komen Nuka Bi Jin means "rice bran beautiful person." In 1987, it was accidentally discovered that the factory workers in a sake factory had beautifully soft and supple hands. Research showed that the rice hulls they regularly handled have wonderful cleansing and moisturizing properties. A once discarded element became a valued resource, and this biodegradable ingredient became the base of the Komenuka Bijin line.
